Forged Bowie

Another in my "Forged" series of blades is a clip-point bowie, forged to shape from 1095.  The forge textured areas have a much softer texture than usual, because I did several finishing heats with my air hammer and very soft blows.  The blade bevels are hand-finished.  The resulting knife is quite light and fast in the hand.

The "Thorned" guard is satin blued steel with a stabilized English walnut handle, accented by a single stainless pin and spacer.  

The sheath is a deeply textured, high-ride, right handed model.
