Integral Combat Another one of my military-style integral knives, this piece has a blade forged from 52100, 3/4" round stock. The blade is differentially tempered, leaving a hard edge and a spring back. That, combined with the full integral construction makes for a very tough knife. The integral bolster is left nearly the original size of the parent bar. The blade and all exposed steel is satin finished. The handle is satin finished green canvas micarta with stainless bolts and lanyard hole. The knife weighs just over 8 oz., so it's very light and quick for a blade this size. The blade is just over 6" long with an overall length of just under 11." The sheath is a no-nonsense pouch style which works very well with these integral knives. It has a "V" notch belt loop (similar to the one on this knife). |
