Combat #3

I personally like this knife better than all the rest - not for any practical reason, but because this is one of the few original designs I've come up with.  Top of the guard is a long soft arc which mates perfectly with the blade.  The handle is composed of inward and outward curves, but no straight lines.  The concave and convex surfaces of the handle give it tremendous grip, even with a smooth handle.  I have used the same handle design on several of my cutting competition knives and all have performed excellently.

The blade is forged O-1, and the handle is black paper micarta.  The knife is usually made with stainless fittings, but this one is shown with copper.

The sheath is another reasonably original idea that I call a semi-pouch sheath.  It can only be used on certain knife styles, but it is extremly versatile.  It is very secure and has many flexible carry options, but when needed, the knife can be crawn without first unsnapping the snap closure.  The guard breaks open the snap on the way out and is a very effective way of making a secure sheath without sacrificing speed.
