| Damascus Combat #1
This is a variation of the Combat #1, but with a slightly larger Damascus blade. Who says that just because it's gonna get dirty, it can't look good doing it. The blade is forged from a 300 layer woodgrain damascus (O-1 and 15n20). It is, through hardened and differentially tempered. This gives it a hard edge and a spring back. Again, forge texture and scale have been left on the ricasso and the spine. If you read my damascus page, you'll see that my damascus steel cuts every bit as well as any knife that leaves my shop. The guard is stainelss steel with a black canvas micarta handle and lined lanyard hole. The handle and guard are satin finished, not just to cut down on reflectivity, but it increases wet gripping. The sheath allows for secure carrying and not only has a lower tie down loop but also has holes in the front and rear of the belt loop to make it easy to attach it to web gear.
